First You Get Your Money, Then You Pay For Power.
POWer!!!! That's what you get nowadays when you open a bill.
In today's blog I am responding to an ABC news article at:

Isn't it wonderful? The politicians who in the early stages of this dire and greedy electrical situation in Australia, promise that under private companies, electricity will get cheaper. Has anyone looked at the promises made to these companies about their earnings? This is one of the real costs behind this surge in raping working Australia's businesses and people's wallets. Bad deals done to falsely balance some government ledger. I am so sick of the incompetence and the lack of future diligence conducted by governments, in a rush to bribe people to go with the idea of selling off utilities. It's time to stop this rot; make sure you remember the sell offs and deal making by politicians, when it comes to voting day. They are very happy to blow your hard earned cash on failing business deals. I seem to remember Abbott promising that electricity prices will be so many hundred dollars a year cheaper before he got in for a while as the boss of the Libs. It's the other way around though isn't it? I used to complain when electricity was $300 a quarter, now it's double that plus some. What a farce. Utilities, transport, ports food production (farms) and airports should belong to the Australian people, especially when we are moving into unsettled times, like nuclear threat. It's time for every home to be able to generate its own power. For a few grand it's possible to get your place off grid. But the governments elected to do the best by the people, are too busy propping up bad deals. God bless Australia
🇦🇺 I'm off to buy my tesla batteries and solar cells right now. I'm unplugging and don't care what the government says, they don't care about people like us so why the hell acknowledge any of their stupid bad ideas, when it comes to power. (Sorry if this post makes it look as though I have an opinion. It's actually the words of a lot of people I have been talking to about this energy fiasco.) All these subsidies to coal and mining companies are in the multi million dollars, what some clever politician needs to see, is putting that money into the people and funding their transition to self sufficiency would be a good launching pad to a greener less expensive place for Australians to live. God knows wages aren't being adjusted to cover all the bad deals, they have to do something.
